Influences

Michelangelo has a varied number of influences, from the Greeks and Romans who inspire much of the Renaissance work to his former mentors, such as Domenico Ghirlandaio and Bertoldo di Giovanni. He also studied the works of artists Masaccio and Giotto. His time in the Medici court introduced him to many different artists and men of learning, all of which had a hand in influencing his ideas.
